THERE IS ONLY ONE BOAT SHOW IN PHUKET

And that boat show is the Thailand International Boat Show, or TIBS, for short. Forget all the rumours, idle gossip and speculation that you hear. There is only one show.

The Thailand International Boat Show is set for January 12th-15th 2023 at Phuket’s award-winning Royal Phuket Marina.

The dates for the show have never changed; the show has not been scheduled and then postponed, then scheduled and postponed again.

David Hayes is the CEO of JAND Events, who is staging the Show. JAND Events is an experienced event organisation and management company who knows how to put on a successful event; they have a long list of happy high-end clients.

“David, on behalf of the Infinite Luxury Executive Team I would like to personally thank you for the superb handling of the extensive and complicated logistics involved in the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous. The event was managed professionally, and your efforts contributed to an enormously successful rendezvous.”

Michael Nurbatlian, Marketing Director of Infinite luxury & Kata Rocks

“You were faithful to your promise: everything you committed to got delivered on time, with the right level of quality, big flexibility for last minute changes, and a huge dose of TLC!.”

Mai-Linh Dao-Ferguson, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainability – L’Oreal Asia Pacific

JAND Events is working exceptionally hard to make this show one of – if not the – best boat shows Phuket has ever had, with live entertainment, parties, and the conferences which will be held in the mornings at Phuket Boat Lagoon.

Billed as a luxury lifestyle event, TIBS will have something for everyone. There will be children’s entertainment on Thailand National Children’s Day (Wan Dek). There will be an outside marine market set alongside the air-conditioned exhibition hall where great bargains on all kinds of marine equipment can be had.

David Hayes says, “I believe Royal Phuket Marina has the best marina and land facilities to host this event and they have stated their unequivocal support for the Thailand International Boat Show, confirming that they will not be contracting with another boat show organiser in 2023 and beyond, as confirmed again at the recent Grow Boating Evening held at Royal Phuket Marina.

Neighbouring Phuket Boat Lagoon have also made it clear that they will not be hosting a boat show for some years and the fact we are using the Phuket Boat Lagoon conference facilities and hotel for TIBS is testimony to this fact.

“I would like to clarify here; we at Phuket Boat Lagoon have been busy with our redevelopment, various upgrades and enhancement to our Lifestyle Village. In view of that, I would like to give you our assurance that Phuket Boat Lagoon will not be hosting any boat show, at least for the next two years.”

Boon Yongsakul, Deputy Managing Director of Phuket Boat Lagoon

Ao Po Grand Marina and Phuket Yacht Haven have no plans to hold a show in 2023 either. So if someone tells you there’s another show ask WHERE? WHEN? They can’t – there’s not.

And Thailand is finally starting to open up – as of November 1st, travellers from low-risk countries, such as China, Germany, Singapore, the UK & the US, no longer have to quarantine to enter Thailand as long as they are fully vaccinated.

And not only do you no longer need proof of residence to get into Phuket, residents of Thailand who are fully vaccinated no longer have to provide a negative COVID test to gain entry into the island province – Thailand’s largest.

You can also fly in and straight out of Phuket internationally if you are fully vaccinated and provide a recent negative COVID test.

It’s not just those in Thailand, or the region, who are talking about the show. Robert Hawkins, a yacht captain based in Phuket, who attended the recent Cannes Yacht Festival said, “Everyone had January 12th-15th penciled into their calendar. They are coming to Phuket; they are coming to the show.”

The Thailand International Boat Show is happening – don’t miss out on this extraordinary opportunity to promote your brand, your products and your company.
