Multihull Solutions to Strut It’s Stuff at TIBS
Multihull Solutions was the first dealer to reserve multiple berths at the upcoming Thailand International Boat Show. Fittingly so, as the company has been an integral part of the Phuket yachting community since it opened its office in Boat Lagoon, and even runs its own annual regatta out of the Phuket Yacht Club every July.
The company plans to showcase the jewel in the crown of Fountaine Pajot’s exclusive Flagship range, the Alegria 67, which redefines luxury cruising. The yacht won the 2019 Best Sailing Multihull Over 15m at the Christofle Yacht Style Awards. Multihull Solutions will also have a NEEL 51 on display, a trimaran that allows one’s family to comfortably explore all the wonderful anchorage and cruising spots in Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman Sea. Both of these models are currently located in Thailand and available for a private inspection.
With offices throughout Asia Pacific, the Multihull Solutions team is distributors for some of the world’s leading multihull brands including Fountaine Pajot Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts, NEEL Trimarans, ILIAD Catamarans, Stealth Catamarans, Ocean Voyager Day Charter Catamarans, Rapido Trimarans, and the Corsair Marine range (Thailand and Malaysia only).
Multihull Solutions recently launched their sister company, The Yacht Sales Co, which deals with the sales of quality new and pre-owned sailing and motor yachts (monohulls) and is the exclusive Australian and New Zealand dealer for the prestigious Dufour Yachts.
Founded by marine industry expert Mark Elkington, The Yacht Sales Co is set to follow the enduring success of Multihull Solutions, which Elkington established in 2008 and quickly became the region’s leading multi-hull sales specialist.
Commenting on his company’s participation in the Thailand International Boat Show, Paul Stamp, Multihull Solutions general manager for Asia, said, “Multihull Solutions and The Yacht Sales Co are looking forward to the Thailand International Boat Show – the first boat show here in almost two years,
“We will always support a professionally run show in Thailand, especially now that both buyers and dealers are experiencing travel challenges. We realize the
importance of keeping in touch with potential and existing clients through face-to-face events and how this complements our overall marketing mix. The new Covid world makes planning difficult; however, if the organizers are able to generate sufficient visitors to the show with an extensive marketing campaign we will be proud to support the event”.
David Hayes, CEO of show organizers and rights holders, JAND Group, responded by saying, “We’re really happy to see a major industry player such as Multihull Solutions make this commitment, despite the challenges that Covid brings. This kind of support demonstrates the confidence that JAND is the right organization to stage Thailand’s best boat show yet.”
THE ALEGRIA 67
Designed to deliver outstanding performance at sea, the new Alegria 67 is the remarkable culmination of the shipyard’s technological advances and innovative concepts, specifically designed for optimal safety and offshore performance.
The internationally acclaimed naval architecture partnership of Berret Raccoupeau designed the catamaran with no compromises on comfort or volume and has delivered generous living areas and a stunning contemporary design aesthetic.
The catamaran has an exceptionally spacious Lounge Deck easily accessible from both sides of the cockpit and fitted with a decadent lounge setting and day beds located aft of the twin steering stations. The innovative design revolutionizes the traditional flybridge concept and emphasizes the shipyard’s philosophy of sharing the cruising experience.
Similarly, the main cockpit has been designed for large groups with a dining table to accommodate up to 12 guests, while the forward cockpit has additional lounges and the option of an integrated spa.
The catamaran’s breathtaking interior features a soft and elegant aesthetic with muted contemporary tones, superior quality finishes, and expansive windows to enhance the natural light throughout the catamaran.
Available in a variety of layouts, the Alegria 67 is ideal for luxurious private cruising or exclusive charter operations. The Maestro version features an exquisite master suite that shatters all benchmarks set by other catamarans in
her class with its unprecedented space, beautiful en-suite, and stunning luminosity. Each of the four double guest cabins in this version is also surprisingly large with island beds, private en-suites, and an abundance of storage.
The charter version affords six double cabins (or five double plus one twin), each with their own private en-suites, and both the Maestro and Charter versions offer the option of the remarkable modern galley to be located on the main level or below deck for optimized saloon space.
The Alegria 67 promises to continue Fountaine Pajot’s reputation for outstanding performance at sea, with maximum stability and superb balance for outstanding comfort underway and at anchor.
THE NEEL 51 TRIMARAN
The company will also display a NEEL 51 trimaran, an evolution in multihull design fusing the finest features of its predecessors, the NEEL 45 and the NEEL 65, to deliver unparalleled performance and comfort. This remarkable blue-water trimaran is ideal for family cruising in the Andaman area, with easy handling by minimal crew and excellent bridge deck clearance for optimal comfort and safety. The NEEL 51’s sleek lines and reversed bows create a sharp and sporty silhouette that will turn heads at every port.
The NEEL 51 has exceptionally spacious living areas with magnificent panoramic windows that bathe the interior in natural light. The 10m² owner’s suite is located on the main deck and boasts uninterrupted views from the bed through its two-meter panoramic windows.
The generous volumes have been strategically designed with expansive sliding doors seamlessly integrating the saloon and cockpit’s living areas, with a beautiful alfresco dining setting to accommodate 12 guests.
Outdoor entertaining is a breeze in the 16m² cockpit, which features a comprehensively equipped galley with grill, sink and refrigerator. The flydeck is a superb haven for relaxation with its sumptuous sun lounges and bench that afford spectacular views. An optional sunshade allows you to enjoy the views and cruising experience in all conditions.
The NEEL 51 boasts centralized handling and ergonomic controls, with a protected helm station that affords outstanding visibility. The trimaran provides an abundance of technical storage with dedicated space accessed at the rear of the floats plus an equipment storage facility in the central hull. Integrated solar panels ensure eco-friendly operation, and the innovative transom makes boarding from land or the tender extremely safe and easy.
The NEEL 51 is also available in the Racing Line version with three double cabins/three bathrooms layout, offering weight-saving materials including a longer carbon mast, dyneema/spectra rigging, hydranet sails, foam cored furniture and more.
Benefits of the Racing Line version include: better speed with 2T weight saving; removable low stay allowing easy tacking with the Genoa; extremely good weight/sail area ratio while retaining the comfort and excellent finish standard of the NEEL 51.
