December 28, 2023

We are thrilled to announce the lineup of exceptional catamarans on display at the 2024 Thailand International Boat Show A Luxury Lifestyle Event. We strive to showcase the latest and most innovative vessels, defining the future of leisure boating.

The catamaran or multihull market has seen tremendous growth recently, driven by advancements in design and propulsion technologies and changing preferences among discerning boaters. By 2031, the global catamaran market is expected to reach $2.7 billion, rising at a compound annual rate of 5.5% from 2022.

Stepping aboard one of the catamarans on display, visitors can expect to be amazed by the extensive living spaces, stability, and performance these innovative boats offer. Creative layouts and abundant natural light make them perfect for comfortable cruising, entertaining, and waterfront living.

Phuket’s Ideal Sailing Conditions:

The sailing conditions around Phuket provide the perfect playground for these multihull cruisers. With picturesque islands dotting the aquamarine Andaman Sea, protected bays, and steady yet comfortable winds, catamarans can take full advantage of their virtues – speed, shallow draft, stability and ample deck space for sunset gazing.

Leopard 45

The Leopard 45 on display from Leopard Catamarans sets new benchmarks with its sailing capabilities, quality construction, and exceptional outward visibility. A square-top mainsail working in tandem with an overlapping jib and screecher provides powerful performance for fast cruising. At the same time, guests can enjoy front-row views from the saloon and galley-forward layout. Its innovative configuration places the dining area near the cockpit so sailors can enjoy their meals in the fresh sea breeze. Impeccably built, the Leopard 45 features balsa-cored decks and hulls with solid glass reinforcements at hardware mounting points. Even in choppy seas, it delivers a smooth ride, reliably making 7-8 knots on close reaches.

Leopard 46 Powercat

Leopard Catamarans’ Leopard 46 Powercat promises unforgettable journeys with its offshore-capable pedigree. Its vertical coachroof windows bathe the saloon in daylight. At the same time, the forward galley arrangement creates additional living space compared to catamarans who have the galley in the aft. With superior soundproofing around the engine compartments and an intelligent layout that separates crew from guest areas, the Leopard 46 Powercat is a synonym for relaxed entertaining. Twin 325 hp Yanmar diesels provide a top speed of 24 knots. Her manoeuvrability excels during mid-mooring thanks to bow and stern thrusters.

Aquila 36

The Aquila 36 on display from Simpson Marine delivers both versatility for watersports and efficiency for long-range cruising. Its retractable stainless-steel boarding ladder and expansive lounging spaces transform this luxury dayboat into the ultimate entertainment centre. The optional Hydrolift FOIL promises improved economy at displacement speeds. Counter-rotating shafts coupled with Mercury 300 Verado outboards provide surgically precise handling even at wide-open throttle sprints of 44 knots.

Below the deck, two beautifully appointed cabins stand ready to accommodate overnight guests. From bow to stern, the Aquila 36 sets new standards for performance, innovation and luxury for this size class of power catamarans.

Lagoon 51

Blending performance sailing capabilities with charter-ready amenities, the Lagoon 51 delivers stunning versatility for cruisers seeking adventure and relaxation. Three separate outdoor living zones allow guests the flexibility to dine alfresco, sunbathe on the foredeck nets, or watch the sun dip below the horizon from the comfort of the cockpit. Its rig design combines performance-oriented square top mainsails with self-tacking jibs for balanced sail plans that, even when shorthanded, can be easily managed. Environmentally friendly features such as solar panels and an efficient hull design stress Lagoon’s commitment towards sustainability.

Below the deck, buyers can choose from multiple interior layouts with up to five cabins accommodating ten guests and crew quarters. Wherever one’s journey leads, the Lagoon 51 is a comfortable ocean-crossing catamaran filled with infectious energy.

Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67

Hands down one of the most coveted flagships in the cruising catamaran segment, the Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 combines contemporary French styling with offshore-capable pedigree. Its palatial flybridge, topped by a hardtop bimini, provides an alternate lounging area. The long central cockpit houses the al fresco dining. With the galley located forward, the saloon transitions into a welcoming entertainment zone that continues into the vast foredeck. Engineered for shorthanded sailing, smart electric winches and self-tacking jibs make sailing this beast quite manageable. At anchor, guests will enjoy direct access to the sea via the hydraulic aft platform that also conveniently stows the tender.

Built in France but designed for globetrotting passages, the Alegria 67 catamaran delivers blue water luxury perfectly crafted by Fountaine Pajot’s master builders.

We invite all aspiring catamaran owners and charterers to embark on these vessels on display to understand why multihulls present the future of luxury boating. With advancements in design and technology, catamarans promise memorable journeys and environmentally sustainable ones.
